Nutricia engaged Delmeco Consulting and Engineering Agency for advice and electrical engineering consultancy services. The activities focus on 10 kV and 400 V installations, including the 10 kV ring, ring main units, transformers, main distribution boards and sub-distribution boards, including the associated cables and cable support systems.

Delmeco provided advisory and engineering services for the realisation of a new 10 kV ring, including the associated 400 V installations. For the electrical engineering discipline, the scope of work included the following activities:

  • Defining a 10 kV / 400 V roadmap

  • Preparing technical specifications

  • Requesting and evaluating quotations

  • Preparing an investment estimate

  • Translating the investment estimate into an investment request (CAR)

  • Assisting with the tendering process after CAR approval

  • Managing the execution in cooperation with the energy utility (10 kV) and the electrical contractor (400 V)

  • Checking insulation certificates and switching instructions

  • Monitoring planning and progress

  • Coordinating potential impact on (end) users in advance

  • Preparing a shutdown script

  • Supervising (total) shutdowns

  • Coordinating and witnessing FAT and SAT activities

  • Reviewing specifications, documentation and handover dossiers

Delmeco’s responsibility within this project covered the entire process from the design phase through to tender readiness, as well as project management of the execution phase up to and including final handover.
