Nutricia approached Delmeco Consulting and Engineering Agency for electrical engineering consultancy and advisory services. The work focuses on 10 kV and 400 V installations, including the 10 kV ring, ring main units, transformers, main distribution boards, and sub-distribution boards with their associated cables and cable support systems.

Delmeco carried out the consultancy and engineering services for the realisation of a new 10 kV ring with the associated 400 V installations.

For the electrical engineering discipline, the assignment included the following components:

  • Defining a 10 kV/400 V roadmap

  • Preparing technical specifications

  • Requesting and evaluating quotations

  • Preparing an investment estimate

  • Translating the investment estimate into an investment application (CAR)

  • Providing tender support after CAR approval

  • Managing the execution together with the utility company (10 kV) and the electrical contractor (400 V)

  • Verifying insulation certificates and switching letters

  • Monitoring planning and progress

  • Coordinating the impact on (end) users in advance

  • Preparing a shutdown plan

  • Supervising (total) shutdowns

  • Coordinating and performing a FAT and SAT

  • Verifying specifications, documentation, and delivery dossiers

Delmeco’s responsibility within this project covered the entire process—from the design phase to tender readiness—and included project management during the execution phase up to final delivery.

Nutricia NV is a company in the food industry and part of the Danone Group. Nutricia is the market leader in the Netherlands for clinical nutrition. With products under the brands Nutrini, NutriniDrink, and NutriniMax, the company is a specialist in enteral nutrition for children.
