Pre-engineering and detail engineering
A successful project starts with thorough preparation. During the pre-engineering phase, we focus on the client’s requirements: what is the function of the machine or installation, what are the environmental conditions, and which standards apply? We develop an initial concept and create a plan of approach. This forms the basis for the next step – if the client wishes to proceed.
When the project continues, we start the detail engineering. In this phase, we elaborate the design down to the smallest detail. This includes strength calculations, material selection, and safety analyses. Every component is calculated and tested for feasibility and manufacturability.
2D and 3D Design Work
Our engineers provide design work in both 2D and 3D, with a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and practical applicability. This makes our designs clear and accessible for everyone involved – from technicians to clients without a technical background. For machine builders, our drawing package serves as a solid foundation. The drawings are clear, complete, and tailored to practice. With 3D models, we bring designs to life: you can see how components fit, move, and interact. Where many engineering firms stop at design, we go further. What sets Delmeco apart is our close cooperation with Delmeco Projecten. What we design is built and tested there. This enables us to manage the entire process in-house, with our engineers able to adjust whenever necessary. This direct link with practice guarantees workable solutions and smooth handovers. Our engineers are present in the workshop, contribute during construction, and verify that the design functions exactly as intended. We also simulate movements, forces, and loads at an early stage to avoid surprises. This synergy between design and realization ensures reliable installations, reduced failure costs, and results that are accurate down to the finest detail. It also makes our designs more practical and easier to maintain. After all, what seems smart on paper must also prove effective on the shop floor. Of course, our work can also be carried out by other machine builders or in-house technical departments.
3D Scanning
We work with modern tools such as 3D scanning and advanced computer models. This allows us to capture existing situations quickly and with great precision, and to virtually test whether a design fits and functions as intended. With 3D scanning, we can record complex environments down to the millimeter – ideal for renovations or expansions. Our engineers use this data to build models that perfectly match reality.
