Pre-engineering and detailed engineering
A successful project starts with thorough preparation. During the pre-engineering phase, we take a close look at the client’s requirements: what is the function of the machine or installation, what environmental factors apply, and which standards must be met? We develop an initial concept and prepare a plan of approach. This forms the basis for the next step, should the client wish to proceed.
If the project continues, we move into the detailed engineering phase. Here, the design is developed down to the smallest details, including strength calculations, material selection and safety analyses. Every component is calculated and assessed for manufacturability.
2D and 3D Design Work
Our engineers provide both 2D and 3D drawings, with a strong focus on quality, accuracy and practical applicability. This makes designs clear and accessible to all stakeholders – from technicians to clients without a technical background. For machine builders, our drawing packages also form a solid starting point. The drawings are clear, complete and aligned with real-world practice. With 3D models, we bring designs to life, showing how components fit together, move and interact. This not only supports production, but also helps prevent errors during assembly and installation. The combination of detailed 2D drawings and clear 3D visualisations makes every project transparent and verifiable. In addition, we ensure that our drawings integrate seamlessly with modern manufacturing methods. Through this approach, we increase quality while reducing the margin for error.

Where many engineering agencies stop at the design phase, we go further. What makes Delmeco unique is the close collaboration with Delmeco Projecten. What we design is built and tested there. This allows us to keep the entire process in our own hands and enables our engineers to make adjustments where necessary. This direct link with practice guarantees workable solutions and a smooth handover. Our engineers are present on the workshop floor, contribute during construction and verify that the design truly functions as intended. We also simulate movements, forces and loads at an early stage to prevent surprises. This interaction between design and realisation results in reliable installations, lower failure costs and an end result that is accurate down to the smallest detail. In addition, it makes our designs more practical and easier to maintain. After all, what looks smart on paper must also work on the shop floor. Of course, our work can also be carried out by another machine builder or an in-house technical team.
3D Scanning
We work with modern tools such as 3D scanning and advanced computer models. This allows us to quickly and accurately map existing situations and to virtually test whether a design fits and functions as intended. With 3D scanning, we can capture complex environments with millimetre-level accuracy – ideal for renovations or expansions. Our engineers use this data to build models that precisely reflect reality.
